Using Ivoclar Ivotion discs with vhf dental machines

Ivoclar Ivotion discs can be used with the following vhf dental machines:

  • E5

  • K5 / K5+

  • R5

You need a specific Ivotion mounting aid for each machine type. Retrofitting kits are available from customer service.

The workflow when using Ivotion discs:

  1. Enter the unlock code for Ivotionediting
  2. Installing the Ivotion mounting aid in the machine and mounting Ivotion discs

  3. Creating, calculating, and starting jobs with Ivotion blank type

Enter the unlock code for Ivotionediting

The unlock code is supplied with the mounting aid.

  1. Start DentalCNC.

  2. Open the DentalCNC Application settings with the following icon in the main icon bar

  3. Open the Machine data view with the following icon in the local icon bar

  4. Activate the Ivotion machining option.

  5. Enter the unlock code and press Enter.

NOTICE

Unusable machining results and tool damage if Ivotion discs are misaligned

Ivotion discs must be precisely aligned with the working chamber by properly installed mounting aids to ensure that work is done correctly and without tool breakage.

Creating, calculating, and starting jobs with Ivotion blank type

  1. Start DentalCAM.

  2. If you have updated DentalCAM from a version prior to 8.04, select the Ivotion blank type:

    1. Open the DentalCAMapplication settings window with the following icon in the main toolbar:

    2. Open the View for customizing the blank type list with the following icon in program settings toolbar:

    3. In the Discs column, select the Ivotion Denture -D entry.

    4. Close the Application settings window with the following icon:

  3. Open the Blank archive with the following icon in the main toolbar:

  4. Create jobs using the Ivotion Denture -D blank type.

     

  5. Import the objects for the Ivotion discs:

    1. Select Denture as indication.

    2. 3shape CAM5 files: In the Filter selection list, select 3Shape Ivotion (*.cam5zip) and import the file.

      The decryption process may take a moment.

       

    3. exocad STL files: Import the file as you would any STL file.

  6. Nest the objects:

    • You cannot adjust the position of the object.

    • Set the bar as usual.

  7. Calculate the jobs.

  8. Mount the Ivotion disc(s).

  9. R5: In DentalCNC, assign the Ivotion jobs to the blank magazineClosed Part of the blank changer in which you store the blanks for automatic loading. slots in which you have mounted the Ivotion discs.

  10. Assign tools and start the jobs.
