Exchanging the cooling liquid and cleaning the cooling liquid tank

You need to exchange the cooling liquid in the following cases:

  • The change interval in the maintenance table has been exceeded.
  • The cooling liquid is soiled.
  • In case of a strong odor from or a biofilm on the cooling liquid.

  1. Have ready:

    • 1 x Collecting container with filter for machining residues (filter optional)

    • 1 x Mild cleaning agent (optional)

    • 1 x Cleaning brush

    • 1 x Spare filter (optional)

  2. Open the working chamber door.

  3. Pull the cooling liquid tank out of the machine.

  4. Remove the strainer basket from the cooling liquid tank.

  5. Clean the strainer basket under running water.

     

     

     

     

  6. Remove the coarse filter mat from the cooling liquid tank.

  7. Pour the cooling liquid into the collecting container.

    The use of a filter in the collecting container can simplify disposal.

  8. Remove the fine filter mat from the cooling liquid tank.

  9. Clean both filter mats under running water.

    If this does clean the filter mats, have spare filters ready. Soak the fine filter mat with water.

  10.  

     

     

     

  11. Remove the return mat from the cooling liquid tank and clean the return mat thoroughly with the cleaning brush.

  12. Fill water into the cooling liquid tank for cleaning. Add a mild cleaning agent (optional).

  13. Thoroughly clean the tank with the cleaning brush.

    Pour the cleaning water into the collecting container.

  14. If you have used a cleaning agent, make sure that there is no residue of it in the cooling liquid tank.

    • The cooling liquid tank is completely void of liquid, machining and cleaning agent residues.

  15. Insert the return mat:

    1. Position the lip on the underside of the return mat in the groove on the cooling liquid tank and press the lip firmly. Make sure that it lies evenly on the cooling liquid tank.

    2. Press the return mat firmly against both markings next to the opening on the cooling liquid tank.

     

     

  16. Insert the fine filter mat into the cooling liquid tank.

  17. Insert the coarse filter mat into the cooling liquid tank.

  18. Insert the strainer basket. Make sure that the recess on the strainer basket points to the marking on the cooling liquid tank.

     

     

     

  19. Fill cooling liquid into the cooling liquid tank.
