Warming up the spindle

When initially starting a machine or if it has not been used for at least 2 weeks, you must warm up the spindle before use.

On machines with automatically operated doors and flaps, dentalcnc opens and closes these in accordance with the respective step in the process. To keep the instructions concise, these automatic processes are not mentioned separately in the instructions.

1. Open machine management with the following icon in the Main icon bar:

2. Select the Service functions tab.

3. In the Spindle warm-up function, select the Start button.

   • A window opens.

4. Select the following icon: 

5. Open the working chamber door.

6. CAUTION!Wear gloves.

7. If there is a tool in the collet chuck of the spindle, hold it in place.
8. Confirm the current message.
• The collet chuck opens.
9. If present, remove the tool from the collet chuck.

10. Keep a tool or measuring pin at the ready.

11. CAUTION!Wear gloves.

12. Insert the tool into the collet chuck and hold it in place. Be sure to insert the tool until the tool ring reaches the tip of the collet chuck.
13. Confirm the current message.

• The collet chuck closes. You can release the tool.

14. Close the working chamber door.
15. Confirm the current message.

• The spindle warms up.

16. Wait until the process is finished.

To cancel the process, select the icon.

17. Open the working chamber door.

18. CAUTION!Wear gloves.

19. Hold the tool in the collet chuck in place.

20. Confirm the current message.
• The collet chuck opens.
21. Remove the tool from the collet chuck.

22. Confirm the current message.

23. (Optional) Save the operation log:

    • To save the data as a text file, select the Save log button and select a storage location.

    • To copy the data to the clipboard, select the Copy log" button.

    

24. Close the function with the icon.
