Preparing the machine for wet machining

The workflow for restoration is as follows:

For wet machining, your S5 requires the vhf wet grinding module. The wet grinding module and the required cooling lubricant Tec Liquid Pro are available from customer service.

  • Before you operate the machine with the vhf wet grinding module, read all documents provided with the module.

    The operating instructions are delivered with the vhf wet grinding module. They are also available for download here.

You prepare the machine for wet machining as follows:

  1. Install the wet grinding module and connect it to the machine.
  2. Clean the wet grinding module and fill it with sufficient cooling liquid.
  3. Switch on the machine at the main power switch.
  4. Open the working chamber door.
  5. Mount the ionizer cover.
  6. Clean the working chamber.
  7. Close the working chamber door.
  8. Start DentalCNC on the CAM computerClosed The computer that is connected to your machine and which runs DentalCAM and DentalCNC..
  9. If DentalCNC asks you to unlock the wet grinding module, enter the unlock code that you received with the module. If you did not receive an unlock code, contact customer service.
  10. If a tool is already inserted in the collet chuck, go to step 18.
  11. Select the following icon:
    • The following happens:
      1. The spindle moves to the tool change position.
      2. A dialog window opens. DentalCNC prompts you to confirm the opening of the collet chuck.
  12. CAUTION!Wear gloves.

  13. Open the working chamber door.
  14.  

  15. Confirm the current message.
    • The collet chuck opens.
  16. Insert the tool into the collet chuck and hold it in place. Be sure to insert the tool until the tool ring reaches the tip of the collet chuck.
  17.  

  18. Confirm the current message.
    • The collet chuck closes. You can release the tool.

  19. Close the working chamber door.
  20. Confirm the current message.
  21. Activate the cooling liquid pump by selecting the depicted icon in the Machining view in DentalCNC.
  22. Wait until the cooling liquid spray is free of air and all jets hit the tool tip (See this figure). This can take several minutes.

  24. Deactivate the cooling liquid pump by selecting the depicted icon in the Machining view in DentalCNC.
