Highlights

DentalCAM & DentalCNC

New dental machine from vhf is now supported: The E4

The E4 is a new pressurized air-free, 4-axis machine for wet and dry* block machining. It is particularly suitable for easy entry into same-day dentistry. It machines blanks from the following materials:

  • Zirconia

  • Glass ceramics

  • Composites

  • Plastics

In advance, we support you with the following information:

*Dry machining set optionally available

Additional features and changes

DentalCAM

Import of data for Camlog abutment data from DWOS is now possible

You can now import Camlog abutment data from the DentalWings DWOS CAD/CAM program to DentalCAM.

DentalCNC

(Z4) New maintenance task available in the maintenance section: Exchange collet chuck

With immediate effect, the new maintenance task Exchange collet chuck is available in the maintenance section on the touchscreen. With this entry, you call up an interactive guide to safely carry out the exchanging of the collet chuck.

The entry has the following icon:

You will find a help article for this maintenance task at Cleaning or exchanging the collet chuck of the spindle.

A DentalCAM license is no longer required for milling test and calibration specimens

If you milled test and calibration specimens when using an external CAM program, DentalCNC limited the number of milling operations due to the lack of a DentalCAM license.

This restriction has been removed. From now on, a valid DentalCNC license is sufficient for machining the corresponding jobs.

Bug Fixes

DentalCAM

Error in the automatic detection of drilled holes remedied

Some drilled holes were no longer recognized by the automatic detection function.

This behavior has been corrected.

Error in the bar calculation for drilled holes remedied

For certain drilled holes, existing bars were not taken into account during spindle movement. This could lead to the tool colliding with the bar.

This behavior has been corrected.

For the Vita CAD-Temp multicolor -B blank type, all bars are now calculated

For the Vita CAD-Temp multicolor -B blank type, certain bars were not calculated.

This behavior has been corrected.

(Z4) The C100-R1D-35 tool is used as intended with immediate effect

When calculating certain machining strategies, the C100-R2-35 tool was mistakenly used instead of the C100-R1D-35 tool.

This behavior has been corrected.

DentalCNC

(E5) The spindle no longer moves out of the spindle lock when the working chamber door is opened

If you opened the working chamber door while the spindle was in the transport position, the spindle moved back up out of the spindle lock.

This behavior has been corrected.

With immediate effect, the icon for maintenance section is locked during machining

If you selected the maintenance section icon during machining, the machine stopped.

This behavior has been corrected.

The icon is now locked during machining.

(R5) Tools no longer collide with the blank holder

With certain machining strategies, the B-axis was set too early, which led to a collision of the tool with the blank holder.

This behavior has been corrected.
