Loosening a fixed tool magazine

If a tool magazine gets stuck on the holder, use the provided grub screw and Allen key in the accessory case to release the tool magazine:

  1. Have ready:
    • The provided grub screw
    • The provided Allen key
    • A flat blunt tool (e.g. a slotted screwdriver)
  2. Open the working chamber door.
  3. Remove the machining residues from the tool magazine.
  4. Use the flat blunt tool to remove the protective cap and put the cap aside within reach.
  5.  

  6. Align the grub screw so that the screw head points towards you and place the grub screw in the opening.
  7. Using the Allen key, screw in the grub screw.
  8.  

    • The tool magazine is released.
  9. Remove the tool magazine from the tool magazine holder.
  10. Using the Allen key, loosen the grub screw and remove it from the tool magazine.
  11.  

  12. Cover the screw hole with the protective cap. If the cap is damaged, use a provided spare cap (7.5 mm).

     

  13. Thoroughly clean the tool magazine and the tool magazine holder.
  14. Plug the tool magazine back onto the tool magazine holder.
  15. Store the grub screw and Allen key in the accessory case.
