Retrofit kit wet machining

This Help article describes how to install the spare item:

  • 265762 – Retrofit kit wet machining (for machines E4ID3... to E4ID5...)

Spare part

  1. 1 x Cooling liquid tank
  2. 1 x Cross brace with sealing lip
  3. 1 x Cover for working chamber door
  4. 2 x Positioning aid for door mechanism
  5. Only for E4ID3... and E4ID4...: 1 x Sealing grommet for suction hose

Not depicted:

  • 4 x Countersunk-head screw (M3 x 20)

Preparation

  1. Have the vhf service trolley case readily available.
  2. Open the working chamber door.
  3. Remove the cooling liquid tank and dispose of it.
  4. Switch off the machine at the main power switch.

Removal

  1. Clamp the positioning aids (marked orange) on both sides of the machine between the levers of the door mechanism.

     

  2. Remove the 4 screws (marked orange) and the cross brace between the levers of the door mechanism.

     

Installation

  1. Attach the cover to the inside of the working chamber door:

    1. Thoroughly clean the surface on the working chamber door.

    2. Remove the protective film on the back of the cover.

    3. Position the cover carefully. Align it with the bottom edge of the surface on the working chamber door.

    4. Press the cover on firmly.

     

  2. Using the 4 screws provided (marked orange), screw the spare cross brace in tightly between the door levers. Make sure that the sealing lip (marked blue) points upward and towards the machine.

     

     

  3. Remove the positioning aids (marked orange) from the machine.

     

  4. Only for E4ID3... and E4ID4...:

    1. Press a pea-sized amount of collet chuck grease deep into the large opening of the sealing grommet. Squeeze the sealing grommet gently to spread the grease.

       

    2. Using the left hand, move the lever of the immersion tube unit backwards. Using the right hand, push the sealing grommet over the suction hose and over the immersion tube until the bulge of the sealing grommet is pulled approximately 1 cm over the suction tube.

       

    3. Pull the suction hose out of the sealing grommet as far as possible.

       

    4. Remove the excess grease from the suction hose.
  5. Fill in cooling liquid. Filling the cooling liquid
  6. Push the spare cooling liquid tank into the compartment until it clicks into place.
